JUNE 18, 2019 • REPRINTED FROM LAND LINE
Truck drivers in Canada will soon join their American counterparts in being required to install electronic logging devices on their trucks. Transport Canada announced today a new mandate for the devices that will go into effect in June of 2021. Unlike in the U.S., the devices will need to be certified by a third party. There are exemptions for rental trucks rented for fewer than 30 days and for trucks made before model year 2000.
